Major Timothy Delaney, Commander of the Salvation Army in Jackson, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its August 29, 2023, meeting. Major Delaney, who became the Commander in Jackson in June of 2023, informed club members about the mission and services of the Salvation Army. Also, during the meeting, JPD Corporal Lashay Brown-Thomas was honored as the Precinct 4 Officer of the Quarter. Corporal Brown-Thomas received the award for her exemplary conduct and performance of the duties as an officer of the JPD. Corporal Brown-Thomas' actions led to the arrest of a person responsible for the thief of an Enterprise rental car.
