Craig Hendry of the Craft Beer Association spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson on June 25. He discussed the work required to get the ability to legally make home brew in MS through the MS Legislature and the impact of the legislation that legalized sale of beer containing up to 10% alcohol in MS on the state's economy. Mr. Hendry is a home brew maker. He emphasized that the objective of the permission to sell higher alcohol content beer was to allow more fully flavored beers plus the ability to sell a broader range of the product that is available in the global market. Since the passage of the legislation, the no. of commercial brewers in the state has increased threefold from one to three. The following photo is of Mr. Hendry at the meeting.Image
