Club Announcements:
Reading @ Walton Elementary
Volunteers are needed to read to the P-K students at Walton Elementary School this school year. Our club will be reading to them on Friday's @ 12:30a.m. beginning Sept. 12th. We will need two readers each week due to the school's increase in students. It only takes about 30mins. to read to them. If you are interested, please text Greg Campbell at 601-940-0080 or email at gregcampbell2@comcast.net.

Gracious God, remember your goodness to us we are moved to offer our gratitude and praise. You have lavished us with your grace and forgiving love, and with abundant material blessings as well. Grant us the added blessings of your direction and strength as we show our thankfulness in forms of service for others. We offer now our gratitude for food and all material blessings, for the richness of fellowship, and the excitement of being who we are and what we can do in the world. Amen.

August 6th Meeting
Royal Allis, Executive Director of Mississippi Public Broadcasting, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its August 6, 2024, meeting. Allis informed club members the mission and projects of MPB. In 1970, MPB – then known as Mississippi Educational Television (ETV) – hit the statewide airwaves, providing quality educational television programming. Since then, MPB has upheld the Mississippi Legislature’s charge of providing educational and instructional professional growth for the citizens of Mississippi. Through locally produced television and radio programming featuring people, resources and attractions unique to the state’s culture, MPB continues to carry out that charge. MPB has further expanded its service to Mississippi by providing public safety information in times of crises as well as created content to improve workforce development in the state.
