Prayer
We thank you, O God, for your protective providence enabling us to gather here once again. We have come as separate individuals with personal histories and current personal involvements. But inherent in each of us also is the desire and ability to engage in fellowship with others, both for personal pleasure and for our purpose of serving others. We express our thanks for food prepared for us today, and for friendship deepened and fellowship enjoyed in the course of this meeting. Amen.
Paul Harris Recognition
The Rotary Club of North Jackson recognized three club members for their contributions to the Paul Harris Foundation during their August 11, 2026, meeting. Recognition is given to someone that contributes $1,000 to the Foundation. Shown from left to right, Club Director Stanley Simpson a 3 times PHF, Club Past President Uriel Pineda an 8 times PHF and Past Club President and Club Director Greg Campbell for his 9 times PHF contribution.
August 11th Meeting
The Rotary Club of North Jackson recognized Jackson Police Department's Officer Daniel Horton as the Officer of the Quarter during their August 11, 2026, meeting. Officer Horton was answering a disturbance call in Northeast Jackson and while on the scene, he discovered that the homeowner had a marijuana growing room in the house which led to his arrest.
