Holiday Party
On Tuesday, December 12th the Club will hold our annual Holiday Party at the Jackson Yacht Club at 700 Yacht Club Road in Ridgeland from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We will NOT have our regular Noon meeting on the 12th. Again, this year, our Holiday party should be twice as good because it is two parties in one! This year, the Club’s Board of Directors has decided to combine our traditional Fall Fling with the Holiday Party. As a result, attending the Holiday Party will have a ZERO cost to attend along with your spouse, significant other or a friend. We will have a CASH BAR. Each member and their guest will be given a ticket for a beverage from the bar. Additional beverages will be available, so plan to bring a little CASH to make those additional beverages happen! Musical entertainment will be provided by Shelby L. Greer. If you haven’t signed up on the Signup sheet at a recent meeting, please sign-up next Tuesday. You can also sign up by emailing or calling Don Roberts @ donroberts71@outlook.com or 601-540-8911.

Prayer
Gracious God, as we enter and reflect upon the final month of the year, we give thanks for having been escorted providentially by your Spirit through times of turmoil and triumph. Let the spirit of "peace, good will toward men" prevail throughout this month, and inspire us as Rotarians to work to bring that to pass. We give thanks for the food we take so much for granted, and for the gift of fellowship which lifts our spirits. Amen.

November 28, 2023, Meeting
David and Amy Lancaster, founders of We Will Go Ministries, spoke to The club on Tuesday Nov. 28th. In 2000, the Lancaster's wanted more out of their Christian lives. They saw there was great need in Jackson, MS. Their heart to see a better Jackson led them to take action and say “we will go.” They began to partner with others with the heart to be a neighbor to those in the community. We Will Go has continued to grow over the years with the help of volunteers, donors, churches, and partners. We Will Go now focuses efforts on Education, Essential Food, and Engagement.
