We praise you, O God, from whom all blessings flow, from whom we gain inspiration for living and incentive for serving. In the season of Thanksgiving, we are grateful for our national heritage of giving thanks derived from out Pilgrim forbears. As we gather this week with family and friends at tables laden lavishly with food, help us to be genuinely grateful and, in the spirit of Rotarian commitment to service, to remember others. Bless now, we pray, for our food and table fellowship. Amen.
November 19th Meeting
Joshua Tom, Legal Director of the ACLU of Mississippi, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its November 19, 2024, meeting. Tom explained to club members and guest, the purpose of the ACLU and some of the recent cases that they have taken on in Mississippi. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is an American nonprofit civil rights organization founded in 1920. ACLU affiliates are active in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
