Club Announcements:
August 22nd Meeting
Kendall Smith, a Brandon resident, will be our speaker during next week's meeting. Smith gives fans some timely humorous and insightful stories from his 35 years of wearing a striped shirt. He has published a book, “Confessions of a High School Zebra.” Kendall estimates that he has officiated over 1,000 games of both junior high and high school weekly match-ups and post-season clashes.

Almighty God, in these waning days of summer as we anticipate the seasonal change built into the universe, we are grateful that your sustaining love and grace remain constant. Throughout all seasonal transitions your call to service is clear, your expectations of us are challenging, and we ask for your help in fulfilling both. We acknowledge with gratitude the gift of food and the opportunity for fellowship which are vital parts of our gatherings. May nothing be done or said here today that will dishonor your name and demean our club. Amen.
Last Week's Meeting
Dr. Nashlie Sephus, Tech Evangelist for Amazon AI and Founder/CEO of The Bean Path, is a nationally recognized expert on Artificial Intelligence spoke to our club on August 15, 2023. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the latest hot tech trend to emerge and in the past month or so has been in both business headlines and the subject of congressional hearings. Dr. Sephus also informed us about the Beanpath and Makerspace in Jackson, that she has developed.
