Club Announcements:
5th Tuesday Day of Service
Our club's 5th Tuesday Day of Service will be Tuesday September 30th at the Mississippi Food Network. We will NOT have a club meeting that day. The service project will be from noon until 1p.m. We will be packing food boxes for those in need. The MFN is located at 440 W. Beatty Street Jackson MS 39201.
Readers Needed
Readers are needed to read to the pre-k students at Walton Elementary School. The reading takes place on Friday's @ 11:30a.m. Reading only takes about 15 minutes or so. You can bring your own book or books or use one of theirs. Here are the dates that need readers: Oct. 3rd (1), Oct. 17th (1), Oct. 24th (2), Nov. 7th (1), Nov. 14th (1), Nov. 21st (1). Prayer
Almighty God, by whose grace and goodness we have been abundantly blessed, by whose standards we are called to live, and by whose summons we are called to serve, we gather again for this opportunity to fulfill the obligations and opportunities we have as Rotarians. For food and friendship, we now offer thanks, and for the relationships we have with each other as together we pursue the avenues of service in the spirit of our Four-Way Test. Amen.

September 15th Meeting
Langston Moore, project manager with ACT Center and Lung Cancer Screening Services at UMMC, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its September 15, 2025, meeting. Moore spoke about the Miss. Lung Cancer Roundtable. The Mississippi Lung Cancer Roundtable (MSLCRT) is a collaborative of lung cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare systems, clinicians, public health practitioners, advocates and other partners who work together to fight lung cancer by engaging in research and projects to build health equity across the lung cancer continuum.
