Club Announcements:
October 17, 2023, Meeting
Will Thomas, the tag holder of a team of four that caught a Mississippi record length alligator recently, will be our guest speaker during Tuesday's Oct. 17th meeting. The alligator was 14 feet and 3 inches long. It weighed 802.5 pounds.
End Polio Now Events in October
Mark your calendar now for End Polio Now events. The "Pocket Change for Polio" jug is available now through Oct. 31st for accepting donations at our meetings. Also, all money donated to the End Polio Now RI Foundation Fund, will be matched by our club. Donations of $100 or more, entitle you to be a member of the End Polio Now Society.
Oct. 24th-World Polio Day Celebration @ the Ag & Forestry Museum from 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m.
This will take place instead of our regular meeting. Also, on Saturday, Oct. 28th, the End Polio Now 5K Run & Walk in Ridgeland. Registration is open @ https://msracetiming.com/home-%7C-races

O god, whose creative power and beauty can be seen in the magnificent display of color in nature, and whose splashes of living color are seen also in the rich diversity of personalities and vocational pursuits represented in this club and throughout the Rotary enterprise, we are grateful to be part of that human kaleidoscope. As we share our meal today, we are reminded again of the blessings and provisions for our needs, which are ultimately traceable to your goodness, Bless also the fellowship we enjoy and the good we seek to do through our club. October 10, 2023, Meeting
Dr. Joe Paul, the 11th President of the University of Southern Mississippi, spoke to our October 10, 2023, meeting. A Southern Miss alumnus, Dr. Paul previously served the university as an administrator in student affairs for more than 40 years. Dr. Paul informed club members and guest about the great things happing on the Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses.
