Club Announcements:
Reading @ Walton Elementary
Volunteers are needed to read to the P-K students at Walton Elementary School this school year. Our club will be reading to them on Friday's @ 12:30a.m. beginning Sept. 12th. We will need two readers each week due to the school's increase in students. It only takes about 30mins. to read to them. If you are interested, please text Greg Campbell at 601-940-0080 or email at gregcampbell2@comcast.net.
Prayer
We thank you, O God, for your protective providence enabling us to gather here once again. We have come as separate individuals with personal histories and current personal involvements. But inherent in each of us also is the desire and ability to engage in fellowship with others, both for personal pleasure and for our purpose of serving others. We express out thanks for food prepared for us today, and for friendship deepened and fellowship enjoyed in the course of this meeting. Amen.

August 13th Meeting
Christopher Pike, Executive Director of the Jackson Redevelopment Authority and Yolanda Owens FUSE Executive Fellow with the JRA, spoke to the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its August 13, 2024, meeting. Pike talked about the purpose of the JRA and planned projects including renovating Union Station. Owens talked about her involvement in the redevelopment of Farrish Street. The JRA was created to eliminate and prevent the development or spread of slum and blight in urban renewal areas of the City of Jackson.
