October 31, 2023, Meeting
Dallis Ketchum, a local realtor and self-proclaimed bike nerd, will talk about the Belhaven Mountain Bike Trail. The trail is about 3.5 miles long through Belhaven alone I-55 and the Museum Trail.
End Polio Now Month
Mark your calendar now for End Polio Now events. The "Pocket Change for Polio" jug is available now through Oct. 31st for accepting donations at our meetings. Also, all money donated to the End Polio Now RI Foundation Fund, will be matched by our club. Donations of $100 or more, entitle you to be a member of the End Polio Now Society.
Proposed New Member Announcement
Danna O’Brien has been proposed for membership in the Rotary Club of North Jackson by Andy White and is sponsored for membership by Past President Don Roberts. Danna lived in the Jackson metro area for his entire life except for the period he attended the University of Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctorate. He has practiced law here for the past 25 years. He is a Partner in the James & O’Brien Family Law Group whose offices are in Ridgeland. He lives in Jackson with his wife, Juliet, and their two children.
He will be loaned the classification, Attorney – Family Law after his membership is approved by the Board.
This is the 1st publication of this proposed new member.
Member's Death
We regret to share the news that our long-time member, Ralph C. McDaniel passed away suddenly at home this week on Tuesday. Ralph was 93 years of age. He joined the Rotary Club of North Jackson during its Charter Year on November 1, 1971. His death came 8 days before he would have started his 53rd year as a member. A Multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Ralph was also a major financial supporter of the University of Southern Mississippi. A Visitation is scheduled next Monday, October 30th, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Natchez Trace Funeral Home 759 Highway 51 Madison

We stand in awe of your majesty and might, of your unconditional love and endless grace. In our world-wide Rotarian fellowship, many forms of religion are represented, but we acknowledge one God. October 24, 2023, Meeting
Rotary District 6820 held their World Polio Day Celebration Luncheon October 24, 2023, in Jackson at the Miss. Ag & Forestry Museum. Rotarians and guest heard speakers informing us about Polio including a Zoom visit from Past RI President Mark Maloney, End Polio Now Essay winners' announcement and a performance from the Jim Hill High School cheerleaders.
